vans

In 1966, the Van Doren Rubber Company opened up for business in Anaheim, CA. While Vans was stitching together its first soles, kids all around Southern California were discovering the crazy things you could do on surf and skateboards. Vans sticky waffle grip was a perfect fit for skateboarding and, in time, skaters literally exported Vans shoes around the world on their boards. Over the past 40 years, Vans has evolved beyond just surf and skate sensibilities to draw influence from a Southern California culture that is as diverse as it is progressive.

Incorporating elements from fashion, art and music with roots deep in board heritage, Vans offers a full range of classic footwear and timeless apparel, breathing new life into those longtime favourites each season.

Vans collections include authentic footwear, apparel and accessories, snowboard boots and the Pro-tec line of protective gear and are sold in the United States through more than 250 company owned stores as well as independent retailers. Internationally, Vans sells its goods in approximately 70 countries through a network of subsidiaries, distributors and foreign offices. Headquartered in Cypress, California, Vans employs more than 350 at our corporate office and distribution centre.

Vans promotes action sports lifestyle and youth culture through support of athletes on boards and bikes all over the globe and through progressive events such as the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing®, the Vans Downtown Showdown, the Pro-tec Pool Party and the Vans Warped Tour®.
