'Halfshells' in white to side, navy toe inset and white synthetic sole. The half-shell toe is derived from the shell toe of the Superstar. Legend has is that US pro basketball players used to cut the top part of the shell toe off to aid flexibility and that adidas responded by producing the half-shell to cater for that market. Whether that is true or not, the half shell it makes a great alternative to the traditional superstar look.
